Come Thursday, 12th May 2016, Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the National ICT Solutions Provider in the country and the University of Colombo – School of Computing will be presenting the SLT e-Sports Reid Cyber Wars 2.0, the largest inter-state university e-sports event in the history of Sri Lanka. The event will bring together university teams from around the country for an intense multiplayer gaming experience, powered by SLT’s next-level fibre optic broadband connectivity, as the Platinum Sponsor of the event. SLT was responsible for the successful mega e-sports event, “SLT e-Sports Championships” held in November 2015 at the Infotel 2015 exhibition. The SLT e-Sports Reid Cyber Wars 2.0 is an extended version of this annual e-Sports Championships and promises to be just as exciting and be a test of players’ skills and strategy. Some of the most sought after gaming titles that will be featured in the tournament include: Call of Duty 4 (5v5), Mortal Kombat X, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Fruit Ninja, Piano Tiles, CrossyRoad as well as Drowning Bunny and Game of Thoughts. Separate tournaments have been organized for males and females for some games such as Mortal Kombat X and Need for Speed Most Wanted.
